Little Passenger Seats Review

Their shape, size and design strongly influence ride comfort; traffic safety; the well-being and fatigue of passengers and the driver; the degree of injury in the event of a crash.

The time when the car seats were only upholstered furniture is irrevocably gone. A good seat design (the driver’s seat is rightly called the workplace) can have a strong impact on the value in use of the car. Optimal design is no longer just a matter of practical experience, but also of extensive research, measurement and experimentation. The seats and their mounting are subject to certain requirements as stipulated in Federal Standard 207 USA and UNECE Regulations R17 and R25.

The support element is a frame made of profiles, or steel tubes or a solid stamped frame to which the seat and backrest adjustment mechanism, together with the tilt adjustment mechanism, are attached.

  • Recently a frame made of plastic profiles, or a plastic molded frame, has been developed.
  • The tubular frame is usually fitted with elastic cushion holders (zigzag wire made of spring steel), which improve the elasticity of the seat, while in all-piece seats this is largely solved by cushioning.

Adjustment of the seat position should not be allowed in one (longitudinal) direction, but simultaneously in two (horizontal and vertical) and preferably separately.

Little Passenger Seats are always a good match to your factory seats and have the cupholders in the middle that gives us the ability to have our kids get in and out from the back hatch without having to climb over.

By placing a three-quarter inch bushing underneath the rear bolts and raising the seat up a little bit will help you to get some more legroom.  You should basically mount them on a board and position exactly where you want it. Before that you should drill all the holes. Moreover, these seats have storage for all the stuff when you go on trips. To install them you should take off the back plastic and then there’s the carpet that you’ve got to pull up. First you take off the two anchor bolts for tie-downs once you so that you should pull everything back. After that you should screw your brackets down to a board. Once you get it where you want, you should take a sharpie and just draw a line so that you can make holes.

There are 5 and 7 seats in passenger cars. There are, of course, modifications with two, three and six seats, but these are quite rare cases. In most cases we are talking about five and seven places: two at the front, three at the back, and two more in the trunk area. Seven seats in the cabin, as a rule, is an option: that is, the car is initially designed for 5, and then the cabin is installed additionally two small chairs, they are compactly mounted in the trunk area. The Toyota 4runner has 5 seats in the car.

Little passenger seats alternative

Nowadays, there are a huge variety of models and brands of cars, however not all of them are designed to fit many people or a family with 5+ people. That is why so many people wonder how to extend or add extra passenger seats. Of course, it can be done only on big cars like SUVs.

Many people used to buy a third row at the Little Passenger Seat company. Unfortunately, this company is out of business now, but you can find many other third rows on the Internet (the Teraflex one, for example). However, if you decide on drilling holes and bolting the seats, it is extremely dangerous since you can never know for sure that you haven’t hit a fuel line or something else.
